IMA members are committed to making businesses more successful by helping them secure the highly skilled and senior executives they need to boost their business.
We campaign on behalf of interim providers and represent the views of interim providers at the highest levels of government.
We also promote the value of interim managers and the benefits they bring to businesses and the UK economy more broadly.
This work is focused around three key strands:
Creating the right economic climate – we want to see taxation which is fit for purpose and encourages investment and job creation. In the public sector, efficiencies and savings must be delivered without reducing service to the public. The changes to IR35 in the public sector have been particularly fraught for interim providers, contractors and the public sector and we continue to call on the government to address this issue. To find out more about the changes visit our IR35 page.
Delivering opportunity and flexible jobs – our labour market is open, dynamic and flexible which provides our economy with an international advantage. With Brexit on the horizon, it is all the more important that we nurture this. Interim managers choose this way of working for many different reasons as REC research shows. We believe that people should have a genuine choice when it comes to deciding ways of working and contractual arrangements and that government policy should support this.
Promoting the value of interim management to UK businesses and the economy. Whether it’s business transformation, a turn around, filling a skills gap or coping with demand, IMA members will work quickly to find organisations the ideal interim leader to deliver results. Interim managers have helped government department save millions of pounds and improve service delivery. While in the private sector, interim managers have been behind some of the most innovative transformations in UK business. Visit our case studies page for more information
